  No, calling any one individual 'immoral' is merely an opinion; a judgement is of more consequential, has more of a price to pay. I don't extend judgement in the way of treating all with respect and courtesy.

  Desires/tendencies can be built-in, but behaviors is what matters. Either nature or nurture, I stand by my belief that God will do the right thing and grant pardon to those that cannot help themselves. Only he knows what the future holds for us all.

  In this day and age, my stance is quite unpopular and unspoken. I get it.

  Although I have my quandaries as to why would a supreme being allow certain humans to be born with these built-in tendencies and then punish them for it, I trust in his word and that in the end he'll do the right thing.

  According to the Bible, he can read hearts and know intentions full well, something we cannot do; perhaps these people that cannot help themselves will be given a second change with different emotions in his just new world. Only he knows what the future will hold for us all. In the meantime, I stand by my belief in regards to homosexuality plus the other behaviors I mentioned above.

  Following also biblical guidance, I do not act according to my belief when dealing with homosexuals or other immoral people. They are in my family, in my place of work, in my neighborhood. I shall treat them with respect and let the Supreme being who allowed this to exist pass judgement.

  i usually find most of what they post on the news or updates section of the website repulsive or even nauseating.

  but i really thought this was nice of them to finally be proactive in something like this.. the article even mentions helping non-witnesses as well.

  God and his celestial Org are all merely standing by at this time, still contemplating how government by mankind is working out for us all; how we're all doing by opting to live outside of his rulership.

  God continues to give us enough rope until we've about killed ourselves, along with his whole creation; and still we continue to blame him for our own doing.

  In his designated time he'll interfere and set things exactly how he wants them. Hopefully, I'll get to live under his interpretation of what's good for mankind, if not, then I'm sure it'll be just fine in the end for many.

  Hi,

  There are many human inclinations that, when acted out, can become either a crime or plain unacceptable behavior; among them, I believe are:

  • Pedophelia
  • Homosexuality
  • Nymphomania
  • Kleptomania
  • Murderous/Extreme rage behavior
  • Some OCDs

  Sometimes these tendencies are built-in, sometimes acquired; nevertheless, one must exert self control and do what is correct for one's own health and well being. It can be accomplished, but it takes great effort and help from the power that is more than normal, according to scriptures.

  i was publicly reproved last year and the elders have taken their sweet time in reinstating my "privileges".

  it's been six months and i can't answer at the meetings or participate in the theocratic ministry school.

  in all honesty- i don't care about the privileges.

  Get an education, continue on building a non-JW network through work/school. Move out and on with your life. The JW lifestyle is obviously not right for you at this stage of your life.

  The article reads: In Sierra Leone, an announcement aired on a local radio station outlining how Jehovah’s Witnesses helped their members and non-Witnesses in the community to avoid the Ebola virus. The authorities there also requested that the Witnesses’ relief committee assist the government’s agencies in the region.

  Happy to hear that they're doing the right thing.

  ok, internet tv, some new songs and updates on a couple obscure prophecies no one cares about.... .

  i for one was so disappointed at the smallness of it.

  i guess i bought the hype that when they said "big", they meant it.. .

  I hope this isn't all the changes!

  We the JW people want to see the 2nd school gone, and the Friday of the big convention eliminated. If the afternoon times were shortened at the assemblies that would be nice too; let's say all said and done with the "Amen" by 3:30 at the latest.

  How about doing away with monthly reporting of ministry time? And, wouldn't it be reasonable to stop anyone younger than 17 from baptism? I mean, perfect Jesus got baptized much older and, as instructed in the Bible, clearly we're to follow on his footsteps, right?

  The GB cannot accept the fact that most are not having an evening worship with their family. We all are just so happy that they did away with a mtg, now they want us to spend it doing the same thing as before? NOPE!

  It doesn't matter how they present it, my family and I will along with so many other JW families only comply with the mid-week and the Sunday mtg. That's more than enough, really.

  Old lit is useless and of no consequence at this time.

  How about piling it up and making a bon fire in your backyard on a nice cool evening. It's the best use you can give to it.
